Matron of Honor
Close friend from high school. Canning and candle making partner. Crafting enthusiast. Married to fellow groomsman, Matt Radl. Queen of Girls' Brunch.
Best Man
Close friend and roommate from college. Currently in a long-distance, three-way (platonic) relationship with both the bride and the groom. “Did we just become best friends? Yup.”
Bridesmaid
Cousin of the bride. Huge fan of Evan. I’m convinced she has been secretly egging Evan on to propose for years. (Good job, Laura.)
Groomsman
Brother of the bride turned brother from another mother. Disc golf entrepreneur and sous-vide master chef. “You and me [points whiskey bottle in my direction], we have an appointment.”
Bridesmaid
Old work friend turned close personal friend. So many work antics pulled with this prankster. (See our photos page for some gems!) She can make a miserable day into a hilarious one in seconds. You know you’re destined to be friends when you spend 10 hr days together and still want to hang out at night! Cheers to happy hours at your place that turn into sleepovers. I’m so glad we stayed friends. I can’t wait to have you by my side when I say I do!
Groomsman
Close friend from college. Teacher of outstanding dance moves (if you’ve got what it takes) and companion on many post-‘Cuse Connecticut adventures. “When you stick with Matt, you make it back.”
Bridesmaid
Kristin was a friend of my brother and mine back in high school. We joined the same program in college and I used to joke around and ask her when she would become my sister-in-law. My brother Adam joined the Navy, but when he returned, he and Kristin began dating, once again sparking my dreams of her being a sister-in-law someday! 🤞
Groomsman
New friend turned close friend. Connoisseur of fine beats, outdoor adventurer, and husband of the Matron of Honor. “Are those… sheep in the paintball field?”
Bridesmaid
I met Belinda at a friend's annual holiday party years ago. Because I hung out with a group of mainly male friends at the time, and because of Belinda’s immediate coolness, I more than wanted her to stick around. Five years later, Belinda married Gregg, my close friend and a speaker during the reception. As you can tell by the photos on this site, we know how to have a good time.
Groomsman
Close friend from before high school. Ultimate road trip partner and casino Sherpa. “Austin to the Grand Canyon in a day has got to be a record.”
Usher, speaker and good friend of the bride
Dave aka "Coach" met Kasey through mutual friends back in 2007. Back in the "good ole days' of endless nights in Ellington, and rocking Mrs. Bacewicz's kitchen counter for beer pong. The two eventually grew up yet remain close. Photo shown of Dave and Hayley taken at Kasey's Bridal Shower. What guy friend drives from Boston to CT for a Bridal Shower??? MY GUY FRIEND! :) Dave plays a role in the wedding by ushering guests to their seats, drinking and joining Gregg Shanley and James Ryder in a speech during the reception.
Usher, speaker and good friend of the bride
Gregg and Kasey have been close friends since the early days of Glastonbury High School, turned late nights after college playing Just Dance on Wii and eating pizza. (Kasey can be bribed to show a humiliating video of Gregg playing said game) 4 cell phones later, I still have the video. Blackmail is for life, just as our friendship. Gregg is an Usher with Dave Bacewicz and James Ryder, get ready for their three man speech during the reception. The bride wishes she gave these brother-like-gentlemen more restrictions on the speech.
Usher, speaker and good friend of the bride
Would be a bridesmaid if he was a female. Only man ever allowed upstairs in high school, or college. Drove my butt around until I finally got my driver's license, and then some after that. Maker of penis birthday cakes, stealer of their moms Subaru for my consistent snow storm birthdays. My, always there when you need him, friend. Most annoying text messenger... see photos for more detail. James is an Usher with Dave Bacewicz and Gregg Shanley, the bride's three closest and oldest friends. Be prepared for the three man speech during the reception.
Honor Attendant. Uncle of the Bride
Mark will facilitate a separate short ceremony to present Evan with his Valente family number, 207. Mark has always bonded with Evan and was carefully chosen as the first in-law to introduce a newly wed into the Valente family clan.
Flower Girl
Grandmother of the bride. Spitfire of a woman with a very young soul. Can’t keep this beautiful woman off the dance floor.
Father of the Bride
Hard working father of two. Camera shy. Solver of all problems. His daughter is favored over his son. Currently taking bets on who cries first during the father daughter dance. See less favored child for betting, groomsman, Adam Guminiak.
Mother of the Bride
Worlds best Mom. Disc golf playing, pool bathing, loud señorita will definitely put a smile on your face. Very excited to call Evan her, “bonus kid”
Mother of the Groom
A lover of good times, good people, and a well-made margarita. With a heart of gold and an eye for style, Mary has found a kindred soul in the bride-to-be. Look for her out on the dance floor, showing folks how it's really done.
Father of the Groom
A wise-cracking educator with more than a few stories to share. Always has a smile and a sports fact ready for any occasion. Look for him doing our reading at the ceremony and getting into trouble with the NJ crew at the reception.
