Point of Honor is an historic home, now a city museum. The property has commanding views of the city and the James River. Its name originated due to the land on which it is built being used as a clandestine dueling ground.

Established in 1806, this restored 27-acre public cemetery features graves of veterans from every major war from the American Revolution to Vietnam and five museums. The cemetery is also an arboretum of historic plants with specimens botanically labeled, including over 425 antique and heirloom roses, medicinal herbs, a butterfly garden and lotus pond, and over 700 shrubs and ornamental trees.
