We met on a beautiful Friday evening thanks to our mutual friend, Dani. Myself and Dani were hanging out and Dani said let's go to my brother Joe's, he and my cousin Evan are there. I recalled meeting Evan once before and was excited to meet him again - later to find out after we met the first time, Evan had asked more about me because he was kind of interested. We ended up having a super fun Friday night, that turned into a fun Saturday, Sunday, and the rest is history from there! We literally spent one night apart and then I never left Princeton! Since then, we bought the house we live in from Evan's dad, Wayne. We recently got a RZR UTV. I instantly fell in love with Evan's dog, Shiva! And we have gone on many trips: Florida for the Vikings v. Bucks game with my family, St Thomas, Napa, Arizona to visit Evan's dad, and the last one with my family to Orlando, which is where we got engaged!

On Sunday February 27th, we flew to Orlando with my family for Spring break. We were there for five full days and stayed at an amazing resort where we spent a lot of time. We also went to Universal Studios a day and then Evan and I went to Animal Kingdom and Epcot a day as well. On Wednesday of the trip, the girls stayed at the resort and happened to discuss when we thought the ring was coming? I said, "Well it's already the third day of vacation, so it's not happening on this trip (who would've thought someone could wait until the last three hours of vacation)!!" The guys went golfing that day and later I found out that Evan had asked my dad for my hand in marriage on their drive back! Friday, the last day of our trip we spent on the lazy river soaking in the sunshine, went mini golfing and fed the little alligators, then went out for dinner at Buca Di Beppo. As we were waiting for dessert, my dad gave a short speech thanking us all for coming on the vacation and expressed how lucky he was to have such an amazing family and a growing family at that! Evan then jumped in and starting thanking my parents for giving him the opportunity to go on amazing vacations and also thanked everyone for accepting him into our family over the last two years. He then said that he thinks it is time to make things official and asked me to marry him!! I was completely shocked and of course said YES!! I asked if he and my dad planned that and he said "no I was going to do it when we got back to the resort (the last hour of vacation!!), but once your dad starting talking I knew it was the time!" After hugging, happy tears, and excitement screams, we went back to the resort and popped some bubbly to celebrate, then packed up, got some sleep, and flew home bright and early the next morning. We have been on cloud nine ever since and are beyond excited to become husband and wife!
