Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Answer

Please RSVP via USPS using the "Kindly Reply" postcard enclosed in the wedding invitation. The postcard is pre-stamped and ready to be dropped in the mail! Before sending, please write out the FULL name of every responder -- and don't forget to select one dinner entree per person (plus any food allergies you'd like noted)!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Provided September 14, 2024, is a beautiful day, our wedding ceremony will take place outside, in front of the lake. Though cocktail hour and our reception will be held indoors, access to the lakeside lawn, bonfire, canopied balconies, etc. will be accessible all evening. Take advantage of it! The property is gorgeous!

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable and feel fabulous! The dress code is semi-formal to dressy-casual. We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with tie and women wear a dress or dressy separates. When it comes to footwear, make sure you'll be comfortable enough to spend the night on the dance floor! Though our ceremony will take place outside, all walking and seating areas are paved.

Are there certain colors I should wear?

Answer

We only ask that you please do not wear white. If you want to stand out from the wedding party, we suggest avoiding green (all shades), but if green is your favorite color.... go for it! Totally up to you :-)

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

What if the hotel block fills up?

Answer

If our hotel blocks end up filling up before you get the chance to reserve your room, might we recommend one of the following, nearby hotels. NOTE: If you do book a room outside of our hotel block, PLEASE let us know where you will be staying! Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Due to the capacity restrictions at our venue, we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If "And Guest" is listed on your wedding invitation, a plus one has been accounted for in advance. Thank you for understanding!

Are my children invited?

Answer

Due to the capacity restrictions at our venue, we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests -- though we'd love to see everyone if we could! Invitations are limited to those listen on your envelope. Thank you for understanding!

Will alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks be provided?

Answer

Of course! We are happy to provide full, premium open bar service with all of your favorites plus 20+ beers on draft at Rock Island. Additionally, we will be offering two signature mocktails, as well as coffee, tea, water, and soft drink service. At the after party space, a cash bar will be available.

Are you providing transportation to the venue?

Answer

Yes! A bus will be picking up guests on Saturday, September 14, from BOTH the Marriott Mt. Arlington and the Holiday Inn Express Mt. Arlington (our two hotel blocks). Transportation to Rock Island Lake Club will happen at 4:15 PM from outside each hotel's lobby. The bus will also provide transportation back to each hotel at the culmination of our reception (10:30PM).

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Answer

Yes. Rock Island Lake Club offers valet service for those driving to the venue.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

If you are transporting yourself to the venue, we ask that you arrive by 4:30 PM. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM and we must stay on-schedule, as per venue guidelines.

Can I Uber to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

Though you can take Uber/Lyft to get to the wedding venue, it's not recommended to count-on ride-sharing apps to get home at the end of the night. It's often very challenging to find an Uber in the area in the evening. Please plan for alternate transportation.

Question

Where is the afterparty? Can I attend the afterparty if I'm staying at the Holiday Inn?

Answer

An afterparty with music, merriment, and a cash bar will be taking place in the lobby of the Marriott Mt. Arlington, 15 Howard Blvd, Mt Arlington, NJ 07856. Guests staying at either hotel block are more than welcome to join us and keep the party going. The Holiday Inn Express Mt. Arlington is located right across the street (within walking distance!) to the Mariott.
