Jayla and Evan's story began in 2014, when they, as incoming high school freshmen, arrived at their high school orientation, where students were gathered in the stadium. While students mingled and socialized, Jayla and Evan locked eyes for the first time. Immediately Jayla looked to her best friend, Natalie, and confidently stated "He's cute... He's going to be my boyfriend." Little did she know, he would become so much more than just her boyfriend. At the same time, Evan had turned to his friend and said the same thing about Jayla. There might be a phrase for what had happened here... Some time passed before they spoke, but when they did, sparks were flying. After a few months of talking, they made it official on November 8th, 2014. The pair dated through high school, graduated together, went to college and graduated together, rented apartments, adopted 2 dogs, and literally grew up together, never forgetting that first time they locked eyes and knew... it was love at first sight. Jayla and Evan will solidify their love and commitment to one another on June 6, 2026, locking eyes again, not as strangers, but as husband and wife.
