Our story doesn’t start how you might think. We both went to Lehigh University, Evan, the cool fraternity senior, and Jackie, the newbie sorority freshman. We’re sure our paths must have crossed at some point, but it isn’t where the story begins. Although we didn’t meet at Lehigh, it is the reason why we ended up at the same place at the same time. In 2015, a mutual friend was hosting a Halloween party and we both decided to go. Being that we’re both in sales, which is a rare phenomenon for Lehigh grads, it was easy to strike up a conversation. Unfortunately, the timing was off, Jackie was enjoying single life in the city and Evan was in a relationship. While, Evan couldn’t get Jackie’s number, he could try to hire her. The night ended with Evan telling Jackie to send over her resume for a potential role on his team. Fast forward to September 2016, Jackie was swiping on the dating app, Hinge, and came across Evan, the sales guy from the Halloween party. She knew she had to swipe right and see what happened. Luckily, she wasn’t the only one to swipe right, although Evan had totally forgotten about the girl from the Halloween party almost a year ago. Their first date was at Flatiron Hall, coincidentally around the corner from their now apartment, and you could say the rest was history. We’ve been through 5 apartments collectively, 6 jobs, traveled the world together, became puppy parents, and now are ready to take our next leap as husband and wife! We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you in Jackie’s hometown on June 18th, 2022 (two years to the day after Evan proposed!).
