Though we were in many of the same music education classes in 2015-2016 at CSU Long Beach, we officially met in EDSS 300N in the Fall of 2016. We sat together on the first class and discovered a shared sense of humor as we joked about the late Harambe (RIP), marking the beginning of our story. We shared the same piano accompanist in college, and a pre-recital rehearsal one spring evening in 2017 ended with Gerardo inviting Evan out to Shabu. The rest is history. We loved living and teaching in Santa Ana for five years until we bought our home in Lakewood in 2024. Today, our household includes eight cherry barb fish, three chickens, and our sweet baby angel adopted Schnoodle, Roy. We are so proud of the life we’ve worked hard to build together and are thrilled to celebrate our marriage with all of our favorite people.
