Things to Do
Albir COSTA BLANCA
Playa Del Albir is a wonderful beach to visit. There is no bothersome sand. The marble beachfront walkway boasts tons of excellent restaurants and bars and cute shops. It's also very inexpensive to rent chairs and umbrellas if you'd like to spend the whole day there! A typical day on the beach is spent relaxing on lounge chairs, underneath an umbrella, reading a book or taking a dip in the Mediterranean. And when you get hungry, you just walk across the street for the best burgers, pizzas, barbeque, pasta, etc! Coco Loco is the favorite!
Altea
Explore cute local gift shops, the Duomo, the views of the Mediterranean, and take in the culinary experience of fantastic restaurants in Altea, Spain, some with Michelin stars.
Meliá Villaitana
The Melia Villaitana offers many amenities and activities, including daily yoga, a world class Spa and Gym, several tennis courts, an 18-hole golf course, breathtaking pools and fabulous restaurants. If you'd like to bring your own golf clubs, please do so. Otherwise, you can rent them from the golf club. You really don't have to leave the resort to enjoy a fabulous vacation!
Barcelona
Barcelona, the cosmopolitan capital of Spain's Catalonia region, is known for its art and architecture. It is also renowned worldwide for its magnificent coastline. It is approximately 5-6 hours by train from Alicante.
Madrid
Madrid is a city of elegant boulevards and expansive, manicured parks. It is rich with repositories of European art, breathtaking architecture, and shopping galore on the Gran Via. It is a 2.5 hour train ride from Alicante. While in Madrid, it is recommended to take in a Flamenco show!
