We met on Hinge in December of 2020 but a year and a half before that, I randomly got tickets to go to the ballet through my work. While there I watched Courtney float out onto the stage I told my friend that she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. Fast forward to December and I instantly recognized her pictures on her profile and took a shot and reached out!

Sometimes before matinee shows, Courtney and I will go get coffee or walk around downtown. In February of 2023 I suggested we perform this ritual again before she went to work. We got coffee and I mentioned that I had heard of this really great view from The Dillon, so we took the elevator to the sky deck and walked out to look at the city. As she sipped her coffee I got down on one knee and popped the question! Unbeknownst to her, I had 2 of our friends in place and hidden with multiple cameras set up to capture the moment (thank you Thomas and Liz!). By the way, she said yes! We will see you in Charlotte and can't wait to celebrate with you!
