Evan and Sherilynn met by chance. They can’t remember who sat down next to who, but they both remember the restaurant bar where it happened: Eddie Rickenbacker's in San Francisco, California. Evan was there with his eldest brother, Joey, and Sherilynn was there on a date. Their combined recollection of noticing each other for the first time is, “Wow, he’s/she’s hot!” Evan respectfully introduced himself to Sherilynn, politely asking her about herself with the assumption her clueless date was “just a friend”. Sherilynn was a little nervous, smiling as she shyly answered his questions. SHERILYNN: I remember thinking, “I wish I wasn’t here on a date! Ahhh!” Evan was so cute and nice. I remember being so intimidated by how handsome he was, but when he spoke to me, he was really sweet and gentle. My date was completely hammered acting like a complete fool, so he didn’t even notice when Evan began talking to me. I kept hoping Evan would ask me for my number. EVAN: I remember how bubbly, innocent, and sweet she was. She was really easy to talk to, and I thought she was super attractive. I turned to Joey and said, “I’m not sure if she’s with this guy or not. I don’t think that’s her boyfriend.” Joey’s the one who suggested I ask for her number. Evan worked up the courage to ask for Sherilynn’s information, and a few months later, they went on their first date. The rest is history.
