We first met as the only two singles in our friends Preston and Mary Jo’s wedding in May of 2022. We instantly bonded over our shared awkwardness, innate ability to always be in the way, and our self deprecating humor. Chelsa definitely wasn’t looking for anyone but Evan knew she was worth the wait. That night you wouldn’t see her without him being somewhere close by. Over the next 8 months Evan continued to chase after her. After months of laughing and friendly messages Chelsa agreed to go on a date, but only if it was with Preston and Mary Jo. From that moment on, we both knew there was something special happening. We were basically inseparable and talked everyday about everything and nothing at all. Evan fell in love with Chelsa’s free spirit and Evan’s lifestyle of schedules and routines was exactly what Chelsa needed (even if she didn’t want to admit it). It wasn’t long after, we both realized we had found a lover, best friend, and a place to call home in each other. And so began many firsts together, exploring all the world has to offer. Chelsa took her first flight, went to her first pro football game, and went out of the country for the first time. Evan began accepting a new level of spontaneity, sprouting new gray hairs, and she even got him to start eating salads! With every adventure and mundane daily chore, our love has grown deeper. Days are made better by each other’s side. To us, there is no question that we have found the one. Marriage is a commitment to endure life’s trials and triumphs with the person you love by your side. It won’t always be easy, but it’s already been more than worth it. We’re so excited to embrace everything our future holds and cannot wait to celebrate our love story with each and every one of you!
