We hope this website serves a guide for any information you may need for our wedding weekend. As our country continues to deal with COVID-19, we recognize that our plans may have to change. We will post any updates and additional information here. We care deeply about the health and well-being of our friends and family and are doing everything we can to ensure a safe celebration. Thank you for loving us well and supporting our marriage during this unprecedented time.
Cary and Evan both grew up in Virginia Beach and attended the same school through eighth grade. Cary can remember Evan giving his sixth grade Student Government speech in the gym and Evan recalls seeing Cary on summer bike rides with her family. Although they each knew who the other was, they did not officially meet until December 2015 when Cary was finishing her senior year at JMU and Evan had just finished Officer Candidates School for the Marine Corps. A Christmas party with friends led to a first date, and that first date has led to five years of unexpected excitement and adventure. We have made it through two years of Evan living in Japan, deployments to Korea and Africa, Cary going to graduate school at UNC Chapel Hill, a move to New York City, and many many miles between us. When we get married in June, it will mark the end of our time apart and the beginning of our lives together. Through it all, our families and friends have been the bedrock of our relationship and we know their love has sustained us when the distance seemed far and difficult. Our wedding is as much a celebration of our marriage as it is a celebration of each friend and family member who has supported and nurtured our relationship. We truly cannot wait to celebrate with each of you and look forward to finally being able to catch up, dance, sing, and party together!
