Evan and I met at Lorene where we worked together for 3 years. During that time neither of us knew we would be where we are today, oh but how grateful we are! Evan would always pop his head up from his desk in the back to help me whenever I needed, we would vent to each other whether it was work problems, car problems, relationship problems, or family problems. IMessage games became our favorite thing to do, even though he "didn't play games". Cup pong and 8ball was a serious sport to us. He would even make Starbucks runs (always remembered my order) when I needed a little midday pick me up. Through the years our friendship grew stronger, and the day he told me he had found a new job, I nearly cried! I thought there's no way he could leave me; I was losing my best friend!! Fast-forward a few months, Evan and I had both gotten out of long-term relationships, so we leaned on each other for support. We kept each other strong with the friendship we had built over the years. He asked me to go to a Nickelback concert with him and two of our now best friends. After the concert we all went to Bdubs where they continued to play Nickelback music. Here we all are screaming the songs singing with the entire restaurant and Evan tells our waiter that I am his girlfriend!! Now me being so giddy about this guy that I had completely fallen for, took that as one of the best moments in my life (absolutely remembered the date). Within the next year, we were meeting parents and friends, going to family lunches, spending every holiday together and enjoying some of our favorite hobbies. From playing putt-putt in our little rental cabin to dancing in the kitchen and creating a home, our friendship quickly evolved into a beautiful strong love. We will always have Lorene to thank for our amazing friendship-first relationship. I could not be happier knowing I get to marry my best friend!!
