We're getting married!

Our story began the way all good ones do: with a bit of reluctance and a dash of divine irony. We met through mutual friends at church and as student apprentices in our youth ministry. Evan was the classic quarterback — confident (maybe a little too confident), outgoing, and very sure of himself. Briana? Let’s just say she wasn’t impressed. She was the quiet, kind, involved-in-everything cheerleader who had Evan firmly in the not-my-type category. Then one day in October 2019, our student leader paired us up to organize supplies in the main sanctuary. Briana was not thrilled, but it was a task Briana accepted with grace, and perhaps a bit of internal eye-rolling. But somehow, that awkward evening turned into easy conversation, and easy conversation turned into a genuine connection. What was supposed to be a simple assignment turned into the beginning of countless memories, laughs, and moments that would slowly, sweetly shift our perspective of one another. We started officially dating on March 14, 2020 — yes, right at the beginning of a global pandemic. Navigating a new relationship during a pandemic wasn’t easy, but it gave us time to grow close quickly, with a deep foundation of honesty, intentionality, and faith. We like to say we’re “high school sweethearts,” because even though our love story started just before graduation in June 2020, our hearts clicked while we were still walking the halls of our high school. Since then, our love has grown through college classes, family milestones, late-night drives, car worship sets, and countless moments—big and small—where we’ve seen God move in and through our lives. Our faith has always been at the center of our relationship. It's what shaped our friendship, guided our dating years, and continues to lead us as we prepare to step into marriage. Our journey hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been rooted in something bigger than ourselves. Our shared love for God has been the foundation of our relationship from the start. We’ve seen Him move in our lives — both together and separately — in ways that remind us that this story was never ours to write alone. Now, we’re stepping into the next chapter — marriage — with full hearts, deep faith, and a whole lot of excitement. This wedding is more than a celebration of “finally” — it’s a celebration of answered prayers, patient love, and God’s perfect timing. We can’t wait to start this next chapter together — hand in hand, hearts grounded in faith, and ready for whatever comes next.
