Amanda’s POV: I was working at Zumiez, I remember having a busy day and rushed morning. I didn’t put makeup on and left my coffee behind. Needless to say, when I saw Evan walk in, my day immediately turned around. If you know Evan, you know he loves dogs. LOVES dogs. My boss would bring his dog Bella in, she’d sit in her bed on the checkout counter and people would say hi. Evan saw Bella from a mile away and ran right into the store. As soon as I saw him I knew I wanted to talk to him. There was such a magnetic energy to him right away. So, I walked over under the guise of just being a friendly employee, and we immediately hit it off. I introduced him to Bella, and thus began our elaborate plans to run away to Canada and steal the dog for our own. Bella had her own instagram page, and so once Evan realized his friend was waiting at the door, he followed the dog on instagram and we said our goodbyes. After a few days, I get a notification on my phone that Evan followed me on Instagram. I was absolutely elated, and couldn’t stop thinking about our immediate connection. I kept going to his profile, but was too scared to ever send a message. About a month goes by of me being too chicken to message him, and I decide to download Tinder again after deleting it. Lo and behold, the first person to pop onto my screen was Evan. I click into his profile, and decide to swipe yes and hoping this is our second chance at a connection. Immediately the “it’s a match!” message pops up, and not even a minute later my phone pings with a message from Evan. “Hey! You’re the cute Zumiez girl. When are you free? I’m taking you out!” From there we decide to meet for coffee. We had the best time! What was meant to be a quick cup of coffee turned into hours of talking and getting to know each other. By the end of the month, Evan and I were “officially” together. Eight months later, we were engaged! Evan’s POV: I’m walking through the mall with a buddy and we’re walking by Zumiez. As we walk by I see the cutest…dog! If you know me you know I’m stopping for a dog! What I didn’t know this time around was that this dog was putting me in front of my future wife 🥰 As I’m petting this dog up walks this stunning babe and I manage to flirt it up with her, joking about kidnapping the dog, who turns out to be her boss's dog. I follow the dog on insta and later think why have I followed another dog?! Deciding no need to follow this dog, I go back to unfollow and I see Amanda’s photo and follow her. She follows me back and me being me- think to myself maybe she’s just being polite and proceed to internet stalk her page but being too scared to message her. I then think, time to download tinder again and thankfully the universe was looking out. As fate would have it the first person I see on there is the sweet, stunning, and funny woman from Zumiez. I think to myself if I don’t say anything now I’ll forever have missed my shot, so I shoot her a message when we match stating my feelings, I asked her out. We go out for coffee and immediately I feel this spark that I’ve never felt before. We’re hitting off, talking about everything, laughing and having a grand time. As we’re parting ways we couldn’t take our eyes off each other. I proceed to tell my mom and sister that this time was different. Fast forward 8 months later I propose knowing she’s the one. We have a longer engagement where we continue to grow together and build this beautiful relationship filled with so much love, trust, respect, and most importantly friendship. At the end of the day I look at her and not only do I see my wife to be, greatest love of my life, but also my best friend and I think how lucky I am to get to experience this once in a lifetime love 🥰 So that there folks is my side of the good ole, how’d you meet story, and I’m just so lucky to share it with the world!
