How We Met

Her: It was only my third day at work at CO Mills mall and I still managed to get turned around. I pulled out a piece of paper that had my store number, to remind me of its location. Then I heard a familiar voice, it was my coworker Cassie calling me into the retail store--Van Heusen. It was her second job and I happened to be standing in front of it. I saw one of the managers standing next to her. I only noticed two things as I walked into the store. One, he had a very warm welcoming smile. And secondly, why was he holding a pair of pants so high over his head? That’s strange! Oh, well. His energy left a lasting impression. Him: It was one of those days, I tell ya! Woke up late. Rushed to work. Got stuck in traffic. Not in the best mood and LOOKED-A-MESS! So, I was just trying to get the day over with when I saw this woman standing on the outside of my store. I thought, "DANG, who is this stunning ladybird out there, looking at a piece of paper in her hand?" One could assume it was a map to guide her. To my surprise my coworker yelled, "ALEX!" Right away I noticed the breathtaking chompers, I mean smile, on her face and it was then that I knew that it was all over for me. I was straight up smitten! I needed to know this woman! I needed to have her in my life! I needed to MARRY her!! Just kidding, I didn't know that yet. But what I did know, was I felt a strange divine interest in this person, something that I could only describe as fate. Then it hit me, run you fool! Fight or flight! Get the heck out of here before you're forced into a conversation with this angel. So, I did what any rational man would do and hid behind the pants that I was folding. Yup, lifted those suckers up in the air, just high enough to cover my face and hide behind. She began to make small talk with my coworker and I knew this was my chance to introduce myself. So in my state of survival, I creeped my face over the pants I was holding and gave her the warmest smile I had. I guess it worked!
