We’ve learned that life has a way of lining things up when you least expect it—and our story is a great example of that… In the summer of 2022, Alexa was starting a new job and renewed her lease in the West Village. Evan had just graduated from medical school and was beginning his residency in New York City. Residency life was busy, overwhelming, and full of long hours, so when a rare free weekend popped up, he decided to head home to Long Island. That weekend happened to coincide with an engagement party for his longtime friend Leigh—who also happens to be one of Alexa’s best friends from Penn State. When Alexa walked into the party, Evan noticed her immediately (and thought she was even prettier than all the pictures he’d seen). They ended up standing next to each other in the food line, introduced ourselves, and sparks flew. Evan made sure not to leave without saying goodbye. After the party, Alexa did a little asking around and heard nothing but great things about this “Evan guy.” Instagram follows turned into a DM, and soon enough, their first date was planned—drinks in the West Village. One date turned into many, and before long, they were talking about building a future together, which started with moving into their Upper East Side apartment. Since then, life has only gotten sweeter. Through career milestones, amazing vacations, their engagement, and everything in between, they have built a home filled with love and countless memories—and they can’t wait to keep writing this story together… We are so excited to celebrate our wedding day with the people who mean the most to us.
