You could say it all started in a cleanroom—because nothing says “romance” like hairnets, gloves, and full protective smocks. When Sarina and Evan first officially met at work, he was giving her a tour of the lab for the program they were both assigned to. Only their eyes were visible under layers of gear, but that was enough. Sarina thought he had kind eyes, a smart mind, and a playful personality. Evan had already noticed the new pretty girl sitting near his area and wasn’t about to miss the chance to get to know her. Their first real connection happened not under fluorescent lights, but string lights—at Oktoberfest in downtown McKinney in September 2022, during a group outing with friends. That evening, something clicked. It was filled with laughter, easy conversation, and the first spark of something special. By the next month, they were dating and falling for each other quickly. Two years later, in October 2024, Evan brought things full circle. He took Sarina back to that same McKinney square for dinner—and there, surrounded by memories of their first date, he got down on one knee in the place where it all began. After she said yes (with happy tears!), he surprised her with an engagement party surrounded by their closest friends and family. Sarina loves how kind, genuine, and fun Evan is. Evan loves her motivation, her heart, and the way she makes every part of life better. Their relationship has continued to grow with each season, recently marked by the exciting step of buying their first home together-which she can't wait to move into after their honeymoon to Jamaica. Most of all, their shared Christian faith has been the foundation of their relationship and will continue to guide their marriage. They are so excited to celebrate their wedding day surrounded by the people who mean the most to them—and to begin the beautiful life they’ve been building together.
