Our first date spot! Great brews and grub on historic Main Street, close to the Hyatt. Spacious and lively with an industrial feel. Watch out for the Rude Elf's Reserve.
Circa 2007, Evan and his high school friends drove all the way from NJ to PA to try these famous vegan desserts. Little did they know Jackie and her friends hung out at Vegan Treats all the time (to our knowledge, their paths never crossed). The cheesecake and the Boston cream donuts are truly next level.
Though the (now-closed) Mayflower Luncheonette will always be Jackie's favorite breakfast spot, The People's Kitchen now takes the cake as the best little diner in Bethlehem. Great breakfast and lunch staples (the homemade jam is a highlight) plus some adventurous options (think: deluxe mac 'n cheese).
Our favorite coffee & baked goods spot on the South Side, closer to the Candlewood Suites. Plenty of space to hang out and relax. The brownies are so good that Evan always buys two, eats one, and takes the other one home for later.
Our favorite coffee spot in downtown Bethlehem, closer to the Hyatt. Hip, fun, friendly, and just a step off the beaten path: located in the courtyard behind the Sun Inn. You'll feel like you discovered a hidden gem.
A South Side favorite. Cool, laidback, and just off the main drag. They don't serve food, but if you're looking for a beer (or a six-pack to go), this is your "place." Plus, there are lots of quick bites within walking distance (see: Tulum!).
Near and dear to Jackie's (and now Evan's) heart. Hole-in-the-wall "Beth-Mex" spot, with the best tacos, burritos, wings, and chips & guac around. Veg and gluten-free friendly. BYOB.
