FAQs

Question

What’s the best airport to fly into?

Answer

The cheapest flights are from any major U.S. international airport (Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, etc). There are 2 airports in Mexico City but it is best to fly into AICM (Aeropuerto Internacional Ciudad de México - Benito Juárez) since it is more centrally located.

Question

How much should I budget for food?

Answer

$20 can get you so much delicious and authentic Mexican food! I would budget $50/person for the weekend for food, but you will definitely be able to find budget friendly meals all around and spend maybe $5 to $10 a day on food. Street vendors are preferred since they are usually the ones with the best bargain for your buck!

Question

How’s the weather?

Answer

Expect the climate to be sunny and in the 70s! There could be a chance of rain during this season so bring a light jacket since it can get cool in the evenings.

Question

What is there to do?

Answer

SO MUCH! You’re more than welcome to join us on June 25th to tour the city for a couple days prior to the wedding. Just let us know so we can share the itinerary with you! Make sure to bring your walking shoes!

Question

Where is the best place to stay?

Answer

If you want to be close to everything, the most centrally located area is the Zocalo. Please check out the list of Airbnbs I have created for the preferred areas. Near heart of Mexico: https://www.airbnb.com/l/ZXtGat7V Near the wedding venue: https://www.airbnb.com/l/EADZAcFf
