Turns out timing IS everything! Max and Eva Jeanne went on their first date August 5th, 2024. Well technically that was their SECOND date. Their FIRST date was actually in 2022 but we're getting ahead of ourselves. In the summer of 2025 Eva Jeanne (on the advice of her now sister-in-law Analu) deleted her Hinge profile and created a new one. Turns out, you need to do this to get Hinge to send you the good matches again. Well it took very little time for Max & Eva Jeanne to match, start chatting & plan a first date. That first date went so well they planned their 2nd date before the 1st was over. Eva Jeanne left the date very excited about this new boy. Max left the date convinced this WASN'T their first date. So convinced he called many of his family & friends to tell them about it and ask if it was weird if he said something to her on the next date. Well thank god he did, because he was right! It took a little sleuthing in Eva Jeanne's calendar app (yes, EVERYTHING goes into the calendar) and it turns out Max was right, they had gone on a date 2 years before! While not a disaster in either of their memories (though Eva Jeanne will admit she only has the vaguest recollection of it), it simply had not gone anywhere. But this time around was different. Max was more settled into Philly & ready for a serious relationship. Eva Jeanne didn't have a million and one events planned and could concentrate on her future. Fast forward to Fall: they meet each other's families at the Jewish holidays, attend their first wedding together & in early November say "I Love You" for the first time. (Now that is a story you've got to ask them about!). Eva Jeanne buys a house in January, they go on their first family holidays in March (with the Sussman's to California) & May (Tanenbaum's to Utah), Max moves in in June, and proposes in October, a little over 1 year after they met - again. And that about brings us here - to their wedding. Which they cannot wait to celebrate with you!
