There are many ways to get to Europe. But for all my friends and family just keep in mind that you do NOT require any visas to travel to Europe, you just need a US Passport with at least 6 months remaining on it before the day you arrive into the EU. (Must be good till at least April 2020) Please know that if you wish to Rent a Car that you'll require an IDP which can take a bit of time to acquire.

Hotel

Pensiunea Andrei

30 A Strada Stâna de Vale
Sovata, MS 545500, Romania

This is the closest accommodation to the wedding party (about 10 minutes walk). Of course there are many hotels in Sovata where you can stay and for transportation you can use taxi or rent a car in the town.

Flight

Transilvania Târgu Mureș Airport (TGM)

This is the fastest way to the wedding location. It will still require a 1-hour drive (35 miles//57km) to the location of the wedding. This airport is services from many different locations. But is only services by the BUD (Budapest Internation airport on *Friday & Sunday) *Always subject to change P.S. The prices to this Airport from BUD range from $35 - $105

Flight

Cluj Napoca International Airport (CLJ)

This is the second option to fly into Romania to the wedding. It about 2 hours (91miles//147km) on the drive if you're going to Sovata but if you can't manage a flight into Mures this is the second best. This Airport will run you about the same price as the Targu Mures airport at $35 - $105 per passenger.

Flight

Budapest International Airport (BUD)

This is the cheapest major Airport to fly into when traveling into Romania. But of course, will require you to either rent a car, take a bus, train or possibly BlaBlaCar (ride share in Europe). If you drive the distance is 380miles or 613km and does have a border crossing. The border crossing is pretty fast so don't stress that if you take this option. Do note that you have to pay a road tax at the border which is around $20-ish.

Flight

Norwegian Air

There, of course, are a wide range of airlines that will take you into Europe. But I've personally found that Norwegian Airs is the cheapest and still a great fly. They have a full fleet of Boeing Dreamliners which is great for the Trans Atlantic flight.

Travel Note

Skyscanner (Cheap flight booker)

This is a really great website to check for cheap flights, you, of course, have other options like kayak.com so feel free to look around or get in touch with us as we always see good deals popping up.

Travel Note

FlixBus

This is one of the main bus companies that you can travel to the location with. Note there are many other companies bus services that will get you to the location but this one takes online payment where other companies normally expect cash in hand at the time of departure.

Travel Note

BlaBlaCar

This is a pretty amazing way to get around Europe. There is almost always someone traveling somewhere else and is looking for passengers to assist in their fuel cost or keep them awake with good conversation. So if car rents aren't your thing or you're looking for an exciting way to see Europe check this one out!
