Yes and yes, please! After our rehearsal dinner on Friday evening we will be having open invite welcome drinks at Pearl Social 131 Anacapa St. B, Santa Barbara, CA 93101. There may or may not be karaoke ;)
The Santa Barbara area has a LOT of hotel options to choose from, as well as AirBnBs. We recommend doing your research and utilizing points if ya got 'em! But as far as general, affordable options we recommend Haley Hotel (average $150/night, off State Street, friendly for groups) Hyatt Place Santa Barbara (average $200/night free breakfast, beachfront), Drift Hotel Santa Barbara (average $250/night stylish, easy check in, on State Street), and The Leta (average $150/night further from venue but beachfront and festive.)
Formal, playful, and romantic! Think resort wear slightly elevated. Our wedding features a Mediterranean color palette: soft ocean blues, warm nudes and pinks, golden yellows, olive greens, sunset hues, etc. Bold patterns, chest hair, and showing a lil' leg encouraged! Final note: If you'd see it in a Nancy Meyers movie - it'll fly! And in case there's any doubts NO WHITE :) Check out this handy Zola Guide for an idea of what we're envisioning: https://www.zola.com/expert-advice/wedding-attire-101-garden-edition Got more questions? Reach out to the bride or groom!
Yes! There will be two specialty cocktails available as well as a selected assortment of liquors, liqueurs, and mixers in addition to wine, beer, and bubbly of course. :)
Our reception will end at 10PM, and we're keeping the good vibes going into the wee hours! Join us for our after party at Bobcat Lounge and adjoining bar The Wildcat Lounge immediately following the end of the reception. Hop in an Uber and use our discount code!
We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults only event with the exception of children in the wedding party. We encourage you to use this evening as a fun date night! If you're traveling to Santa Barbara with children, we recommend the highly rated Child Time Nanny Service, or Beach Baby Nannies which both provide on-call babysitting services.
If your invitation denotes a plus one, you are allowed to bring a plus one! Otherwise, please bring only those included on your invite.
Our ceremony space and cocktail hour are outdoors. Our reception will be held indoors. The SBWC has three wood-burning fireplaces, including one outdoors. Typical weather for this time of year in Santa Barbara is 70 and sunny but we suggest bringing a shawl or jacket if you run cold!
We will be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a seated, plated paella feast with vegan, seafood, and meat options. Please let the bride and groom know ASAP if you have specific dietary concerns or restrictions.
We appreciate any and all gifts and offer our sincere "Thank yous!" in advance. Linked on our site is our registry, which we highly recommend checking out for the best idea of gifts we'd appreciate. However, if you're bringing a gift to the wedding there will be a clearly marked table for gifts and cards in the reception space.
To keep us all in the moment, we'd love if guests refrained from photography during the ceremony. But feel free to post and share all your other photos on social media! And please tag us! @evapants and @travis_marlatt
Yes! The Santa Barbara Women's Club has a 100 car private parking lot. You can even leave your car safely overnight and pick it up on Sunday or Monday after the wedding.
We encourage Lyft or Uber and have a designated discount code for the night of the wedding. Please use code rTGGrZafFNS on Uber and get ready to dance! We also do NOT want anyone drinking and driving and the SBWC agrees! You may leave your vehicle on site overnight (up until Monday AM) in the venue's private parking lot.
