We have so much we're grateful for: that our family and friends are safe and well, that our jobs are unharmed, and that we and those close to us haven't gotten sick. But we're SUPER SAD we couldn't have our wedding. Instead of rescheduling, we've decided to let our big celebration go. We're grateful we were able to have a tiny backyard wedding on Dallas Avenue in August. We wish wish wish all of you could have been there! At first we were certain we'd reschedule. But the more we thought about it, the more it felt like... well, it'll never be what we imagined. And rather than try for a post-covid recreation of what we imagined, we're going to let it go :-( We're really disappointed. I (Eva) was so looking forward to celebrating with you and taking pictures and dancing and toasting. Maybe some day down the line we'll do a vow renewal or have some kind of party, but that doesn't feel right to us now.
Once upon a time, Eva and Steven enrolled in ENGL401, the Literary Theories class required for English Majors at UMBC. They met, did not fall in love, and became friends who ate lunch together in the UMBC Commons with other English students. After graduating in 2012 and getting jobs in Rockville (Eva) and Gaithersburg (Steve), Eva had a brilliant idea: she and Steve should move in together! Because he's a platonic friend she'll never have a crush on! PERFECT. So in 2014, Eva, Steve, and the intrepid Judy and Patrick moved in to 11419 Schuylkill Rd in Rockville, MD. Eva was wrong about the platonic thing. #TeamSteEva was born in 2015. In 2017, the two shoved their belongings in a storage pod and drove across country to find their fortune in Phoenix, AZ. On July 25th, 2018, Eva asked Steve to marry her. And on May 23rd, it will be OFFICIAL!
