We're getting married!

Our story of love, serendipity, and a journey that began in February 2022. In the midst of a world just beginning to open up after the pandemic, we met through online dating. Little did we know, we would uncover a web of connections through mutual friends and even discover that we once lived just a mile apart in the same neighborhood. It seemed as if fate had been gently steering us towards each other all along. Our first date at Lula Cafe in Logan Square marked the beginning of a beautiful chapter. With spring in the air, our relationship blossomed alongside the blooming flowers, each day revealing more of the love and joy that would come to define us. We shared stories of past relationships, experiences that taught us valuable lessons and prepared us for something better. Together, we embraced our shared passions for art, social justice, and nature, finding balance and harmony in our differences and similarities. In May 2023, we took another step forward, blending our lives and household with the both of us and our pets. Our home became a sanctuary of love, laughter, and shared dreams. We’ve planted gardens together, nurtured our growth as a couple, and even embarked on the patient journey of introducing our beloved cat and dog to each other. Fast forward to October 2024, in the enchanting atmosphere of Guanajuato, Mexico, by the Callejón del Beso, we got engaged and we exchanged rings. We kissed in this beautiful place for good luck. We shared the joyous news with our parents, and celebrated our engagement to the vibrant sounds of Mariachi. Life, as we know, isn’t without its challenges. Yet, through every small bump in the road, we’ve found strength in our love and understanding. We often joke about needing to argue more, but the truth is, our journey has been one of mutual respect and harmony. As we look towards the future, we are filled with a profound sense of gratitude and hope. We are grateful for every moment to be with our best friend and love. Together, we dream of a life filled with joy, adventure, and endless love. So here’s to us, to our journey, and to the beautiful future that awaits.
