According to Andy, we first crossed paths thanks to a mutual friend's impeccable timing in introducing us to each other on the dance floor of a club in Philadelphia during college. According to Eva, we had actually met 2 years before during an executive board election. Fun fact: Andy claims to this day that he doesn’t remember this because he was too stressed that day.

In the whirlwind of plans leading up to medical school, Eva and her friends decided to catch up in Philly for a laid-back brunch and spa day. Seizing this golden opportunity, Andy plotted with them for a distraction, ensuring Eva would be out, leaving him to set the stage for the big question. Back at their place, he waited on the balcony with their dog drafted into the role of ring bearer, and waited for her return. As she stepped onto the balcony, Opal, always eager to be in the midst of adventures, came bounding over with the ring tied carefully around her collar, kicking up rose petals as she went. Amidst the string lights and photos of memories together, she said yes!

Knowing that we wouldn't have the opportunity to hold our wedding reception until after medical school, we tied the knot in a small ceremony with just our immediate family members in Philadelphia in 2023. We absolutely cannot wait to finally be able to celebrate with you all! See you in Philly! ~
