Our love story begins in high school, where we met and quickly became best friends. After graduation, we both coincidentally ended up at the University of South Florida to begin our undergraduate degrees. There, we discovered how perfect we were for each other, and we’ve been inseparable ever since! Some of the highlights of our relationship include watching sunrises, traveling to fun places, visiting amusement parks, and enjoying picnics.

From a pretty early point in our relationship, I knew that Belle was the one and that this day would come. Ever since our trip to NYC in 2024, I knew I wanted to pop the question during our next adventure. I figured suspicions might arise when I suggested going somewhere new, like Charleston, so I disguised it as a trip to mentally reset after countless hours of studying for the MCAT and finally taking it. We began the big day with a kayaking tour at Folly Beach, where I got a nice workout paddling for two while Belle sat peacefully in the front of the kayak, enjoying the beautiful waters and wildlife of Charleston, including many dolphins. After a quick pit stop at the hotel to change and refresh, we headed to Riverfront Park for a very late lunch, enjoying each other’s company and the lovely river view. After a delicious meal and hours of successfully suppressing my nerves and excitement, it was go time. I led Belle out to the dock, where we strolled and chatted for a few minutes. As the sun was setting, I had a very important question to ask her. The moment was perfect, and although I forgot my whole speech, it became the most memorable day of my life.
