Scenic Lift Rides
Ski resorts offer scenic lift rides in the summertime. Enjoy the ride up, take an optional hike, and take in the amazing views! Solitude Resort, Snowbird Resort, & Brighton Resort are in the Cottonwood Canyons!
Lake Mary Trail
Hike ~2.3 miles roundtrip to an alpine lake from Brighton Resort, less than 5 minutes from Solitude! Trailhead is behind Mt. Majestic Lodge.
Donut Falls Trail
Easy 1.5 mile hike close to the wedding venue!! The unique waterfall pours into an underground cave and forms a "Donut" in the process.
Historic Main Street
We love Park City, especially Historic Main Street!! Tons of bars, restaurants, & shops along this quaint and bustling street & town! Take Guardsman Pass to and from Solitude Village and Park City for a beautiful scenic drive!!
Guardsman Pass Drive
Guardsman Pass is the scenic backway/drive that connects Solitude & Brighton with Park City. Definitely recommend this route if you head to Park City, and even if you're not, head up this drive to get some amazing views of the mountain and valley!
Cecret Lake Trail
A beautiful 1.8 mile mountain lake trail nestled up in the mountains! Parking may be limited in the Cecret Lake/Catherine's Pass Trailheads (upper Albion Basin area), so we highly recommend hiking from the Albion base area parking lot and hiking the Upper Albion Meadows Trail. This extends the hike to 4.5 miles, but you get to experience Albion Meadows along the way!!
National Parks
If you have time before or after the wedding, we recommend exploring southern Utah for its beautiful National Parks! Keep in mind it is very hot in south UT, as it is the desert in the summer, but it is worth exploring if you have time to make the ~4 hour drive from Salt Lake. Mountain Biking
For the bold and daring~ mountain biking is super popular in Utah, and Solitude offers several biking trails & rentals! Take the lift up to bike down the mountain terrain.
Albion Basin Meadows
Gorgeous wildflower field & hike in Alta, UT (Little Cottonwood Canyon). This is where we took our engagement photos! The wildflowers won't be in peak season quite yet, but the meadows are still beautiful in July :)
Gloria Falls Trail
Easy/Moderate 2.2 mile hike to a mountain waterfall! Great views of Little Cottonwood Canyon and leads to a beautiful waterfall against dark granite!
Alpine Slides & Mountain Coasters
Park City Resort and Snowbird Resort both offer an abundance of summer activities, including Alpine Slides, Mountain Coasters, & more! Purchase an Adventure Pass to make the most of the activities!
Bells Canyon Trail
One of our favorite hikes ever!! A moderate/strenuous 5 mile hike, Bells Canyon has it all - grand valley views, roaring waterfall, and a steep elevation rise at the end to make it a little bit of a workout!

After a day of hiking & outdoor activities, relax at a spa up in the mountains! Some of the top rated spas: The Cliff Spa, Stein Eriksen in Deer Valley, and Serenity Spa by Westgate. Solitude Resort has a Spa as well if you don't want to travel too far!
