It all started at the Upper Room Family International Church in 2013. As usual, Uncle Emma sang “You are next in line, for a miracle.” The opening song that invited the congregation to greet each other. Eugene, who had been visiting Upper Room that day, followed Mame Adjoa to one of the pews to shake her hand. That simple gesture marked the beginning of our love story. A friendship quickly blossomed, but Mame Adjoa had her own way of keeping things in the friend zone. Eugene would call but she would strategically miss his calls, only to call back when she knew he wouldn’t be available to pick up. She would call either late at night or when he had class or work. Still, somehow, he never gave up, and she never truly let go of the possibility that their friendship could turn into something more. Fast forward to January 2018, the friendship that was full of laughter, outings and inside jokes finally turned into something more. We decided to make it official, and ever since, we’ve been side by side, navigating life’s ups and downs together. Growing stronger, and building a love that’s as unshakable as it is joyful. Looking back now, we know the moment we met was no coincidence. We truly were next in line for a miracle. Now, here we are, ready to say “I do”. We are grateful for where it all began, and so excited to celebrate forever with all of you.
