The dress code for our wedding is black tie optional, think tuxes or suits for guys and long or mid-length dresses for girls. Keep in mind our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors and there will be grassy areas.
We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during our ceremony and leave this up to our incredible photographers. We would love for you to be completely present and allow the professionals to capture our most precious moments.
Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held at Stoneyman Valley Ranch! Transportation will be provided back to the Mimslyn Inn for our after-party.
Weather permitting, our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors in grassy areas. September in Virginia is generally warm, but it could get a bit chilly at night. Our reception will be held indoors in a temperature-controlled barn.
If you are staying at the Mimslyn, please see the Travel and Accommodations tab for information on shuttle departures from the hotel and plan accordingly. Otherwise, please plan to arrive approximately 30 minutes before our ceremony start time for welcome drinks.
