Our story…

At the time Venrick was at Montclair University in Jersey and Etsub was at Albright College in PA. Luckily, Etsub was volunteering at New York Fashion week and Montclair was just a train ride to NYC.

So on September 11, 2021 they had their first date in NYC. For years ahead, NYC became their date spot.

A couple months later, Venrick asked Etsub to be his girlfriend. Their relationship became official on December 2021. Shortly after, Etsub went to study abroad for a semester in Thailand.

Even though long distance relationship was challenging their connection grew deeper. They even said I love you to each other and started talking about their future together.

Once Etsub came back, they started traveling together. Their adventures strengthen their connection with each other, God and nature.

Thus, they continued traveling to different states/countries and building core memories.

Then in June 2022, they celebrated Etsub’s birthday; and Venrick met her childhood friends and close family.

In July 2023, Venrick went to Ethiopia to meet Etsub’s extended family and celebrate her undergraduate graduation.

During the celebration Venrick proposed and Etsub said YES!

Then in June 2024, Etsub went to Jamaica to meet Venrick’s extended family.

…and they started planning for their wedding!
