Both of us attended Papillion-La Vista High School, Ethan being two years older. I knew who Ethan was, but he didn’t know me. I was on the cheer team and he was the leader of the student section so I saw him at almost every game. A classic case of the older senior crush who had no clue who I was! In 2017, Ethan added me on Snapchat (I made the first move) and the rest was history!

We went to Kansas City to celebrate my 24th birthday on December 3rd. Ethan was very adamant on finding the best place to look at Christmas lights and after a trip to Crown Center, we decided that was the best place. Later that evening, Ethan said he wanted to take a picture of me in front of the Christmas tree at Crown Center and I thought nothing of it. As I was trying to pose for a picture, Ethan got down on one knee. The next day we celebrated in usual Ethan fashion; watching a Kansas City Chiefs game.
