We’re Getting Married!!

It all started at NIU with an interview. Taylor and her friend from college were asked by 2 gentlemen if they could help them with a class project. Taylors friend enthusiastically agreed and the interviews started. Taylor had a feeling from the start that she had recognized the man behind the camera. As he introduced himself as Ethan she didn’t recognize his name but she still felt as though she knew him from somewhere. Thinking nothing of it Taylor and her friend went on their way to get ready for their color guard banquet. After the banquet Taylor got a message from this man named Ethan talking about how he knew her color guard coach and he knew her long time friend from home Carl. She was shocked and taken back by the one thing that would tie up all the loose ends for her, two little words…color guard. Taylor told him that she was also a performer both on the field and indoors and the connection sparked. Taylor soon realized that Ethan and herself must have passed each other a bunch of times over the years due to being at the same color guard competitions. After messaging back and forth and Ethan not sparking a conversation (lol it’s always been a joke between us) he thanked me for my time and it ended. As the night went on Taylor got a phone call from her friend from home Carl and she answered to an ecstatic Carl asking how she had met Ethan and did she think he was cute and if he could give him her snap chat and phone number. Taylor said yes, why not because she thought he was pretty cute, so why not give it a shot. A little while later Taylor made a snap friend, a snap streak started, they started talking to each other day every day all day long, and the sparks ignited. Time went on and the talking continued when one day right before Christmas Ethan finally got the courage to ask her to be his girlfriend (over text….he said he would make it up to her in the future). Taylor enthusiastically said yes and the relationship started on 12/18/19. From all the family gatherings, to going to winter guard and DCI together they knew their love and bond was eternal. As time went on and their relationship and love continued to grow came moving in together, lots of vacations, watching each other graduate, moving to Roscoe to start their careers, making new friends, lots of laughs, lots of tears, but most importantly lots of new and forever memories. As September 2022 rolled around they were planning their next vacation out east where Ethan was preparing to pop the biggest question. As they came upon Taylors favorite spot on her family’s farm Ethan got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. With tears in her eyes she enthusiastically said yes. The rest of this story is history and what’s to come is in the future, but Taylor and Ethan know one thing they were meant for each other and are looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together.
