I remember the first time I saw Sophia, it was on an LDC project and I was far too scared to ask her name or go up to her. But what I noticed was how kind and hard working she was, and of course, her hair! And as time went on I continued to see her on LDC projects and admire and respect her hard-working attitude. I also received many good reports of what a valuable and special person she was from others. Later on, I had a chance to give some friends a tour while I was at Bethel. Unbeknownst to me Sophia happened to be on that tour. As I came down the hill towards the visitor center to meet them, I saw her and immediately said to myself, that’s the pretty hair girl! As the tour went on, we continued to talk and enjoy each other’s company. I had never enjoyed talking to a person more. However, as with any big decision, I was hesitant, I had fears, and questions. But the more I prayed, thought, and got to know her better all those melted away, especially seeing Jehovah‘s multiple clear answers to my specific thoughts and prayers. And we have been talking ever since! I am incredibly thankful for how supportive and welcoming her family has been, and for my family and friends support as well. Proverbs 31 verses 10 and 29 sums up Sophia better than I can: “Who can find a capable wife? Her value is far more than that of corals.” “There are many capable women, But you—you surpass them all”. Jehovah has helped me to find the most valuable, capable, and beautiful wife! I look forward to spending every day with her, my best friend and the many adventures that we will have together! Thank you for all you have done for me and Sophia, as individuals and as a couple. We’re so glad you can be a part of our special day!
In Ethan I have found such a beautiful blessing, one that I never expected or saw coming, but one that I can’t imagine living without now. The first time a saw him was one day about two and a half years ago, on an LDC project in Colebrook, New Hampshire. I immediately noticed how kind and friendly he was to everyone, what a capable and hard worker he was, and his love for Jehovah was clear. After that I’d see him working on almost every project I went to, and I’d hear from others about his good reputation and the kind of person he was. After quietly observing him every now and then from afar, never knowing or expecting to meet him, an unexpected opportunity had our paths cross. That opportunity came when a really good friend of mine had invited me to join her group that was going to be touring Patterson Bethel. He at the time had just been accepted for a temp assignment for the summer and had arrived a few weeks earlier and offered our group a tour of the department he was working in. I’ll never forget when I saw him coming down that hill to meet our group for the first time. He’d been working all morning and then used some of his time off to give us our tour, and not only that but just as I had expected, he was so friendly and a genuinely kind person. He was so interesting and comfortable to talk with. I couldn’t believe after so long I had finally met him! We immediately clicked and had endless things to talk about, and we have been talking ever since! It has been such a gift seeing Jehovah’s hand and blessings in both of our lives before we met as well as throughout our whole relationship. We have truly seen that Jehovah has taken care of us and has made things clear to us at the right time. I am so grateful to Jehovah for helping me find the best husband and I can’t imagine life without him. He is the most kind and thoughtful, but strong and capable man. He is truly a hard worker and is a good and spiritual man who loves Jehovah, one that I deeply respect and love, and I can’t wait to have as my husband and spiritual head. Not only is he all that, but he also has the most incredible family! They are such a good and kind family, and have been so supportive throughout his life and our relationship. It’s not every girl that gets an incredible man as her husband, and an amazing bonus family too. I am so grateful and couldn’t be more excited to call them my own too! To our families and friends - Thank you for everything you have done, all the support, advice and especially love you have shown us. We are deeply grateful to be surrounded by such amazing, loving friends. And to Ethan - I love you with all my heart, you are everything I could ever want or need and more. I can’t wait for every adventure along the way with you!
