Here are some things to do in Big Sur! All distances are calculated from the Big Sur River Inn venue. Venue also has lists of fun activities in the area as well!

23 miles North on Highway 1. 

Good for tide pooling, marine life viewing, and photography

Point Lobos State Natural Reserve

10 miles south. No visible sign. Park on either side of highway 1. Trailhead is on east side of highway.

One of our personal favorites! A more strenuous hike up to an old tin house on the mountain. Around 6 miles roundtrip with around 1,600 ft elevation gain.

Tanbark Trail

18 miles North on highway 1.

2 miles roundtrip. Easy access.

Soberanes Point Trails Trailhead

1.9 miles south on highway 1. Turn left at the sign.

Lots to do here! Waterfalls and hiking abound!

Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park

12 Miles south on highway 1 

A Big Sur classic! Park on the highway or in the parking lot and take the trail to a waterfall that dumps onto the beach.
