For most of our time in Ireland we will be staying in Fenit, a village just outside of Tralee. We will be staying in Ballyseede Castle on the night of our wedding.
Please be seated in the church no later than 1:15 p.m.
The cocktail hour/drinks reception will be held from approximately 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The dinner reception will immediately follow and run until approximately 8 p.m. Music and dancing will begin after speeches and conclude at 2 a.m. Any guests staying in Ballyseede Castle on the night of the wedding are permitted in the hotel bar until 4 a.m.
There’s so much to explore in and around Tralee—whether you're into nature, history, bars, or just relaxing by the fire. Here are some local favorites: Dingle Peninsula – One of Ireland’s most scenic drives. Visit the charming town of Dingle, meet Fungie the (former) dolphin’s legacy, and enjoy dramatic coastal views. Killarney - Bars, shopping, and loads of things to do. Head here for "Christmas in Killarney"! Perfect for a day trip and only about an hour away. Killarney National Park – Forests, waterfalls, and the stunning Muckross House. Inch Beach – A long, beautiful stretch of sand perfect for a winter walk or a photo op. Banna Strand – Another breathtaking beach just 15 minutes from town. Ring of Kerry – An iconic loop drive with unforgettable views, villages, and rugged coastline. Fenit Harbour – A picturesque fishing village just outside of town where you can walk the pier and take in sea views. Blennerville Windmill – Ireland’s largest working windmill, right on the edge of Tralee. Cozy Pubs & Live Music – Don’t miss traditional Irish music sessions in local spots like Sean Óg’s or The Tankard. And of course, just strolling around Tralee in winter—with the holiday lights, festive atmosphere, and friendly locals—is an experience in itself!
