Our story began way back when we were ten and eleven years old. We ended up in the same group at a summer kayak camp at James Island County Park. Funny enough, James Island County Park would play a role in how we eventually started dating nearly five years later—but that’s a story for another time.

In middle school, we rode the same bus. Ethan was somewhat infamous for causing just enough chaos to keep things interesting (most notably the time he threw a broom out of the bus window).

During our freshman and sophomore years of high school, we reconnected at our friends Hutch and Candler’s house over a game of the iconic Trivia Crack (the pinnacle of romance). After many games and a few months, we started dating. Following plenty of volleyball and soccer games, forensic science class together, and multiple proms, Ethan graduated and the long-distance saga began!

Long distance was tough, but it sure was worth it. We spent plenty of weekends visiting one another at Wofford, Clemson, and USC, and loved meeting each other's friends, exploring new places, and swapping stories about all of our separate adventures.

After Meadows graduated from law school, we spent two weeks visiting Ethan’s sister Grace in Greece. When we returned, we finally moved in together in Columbia, SC. Meadows spent the summer studying for the bar while Ethan perfected his cooking skills and finalized his application to the Arrhythmia Technologies Institute in Greenville, SC. Last fall, Meadows started her judicial clerkship in Columbia, and in January of this year Ethan started school in Greenville. Ethan recently secured a job in Columbia, so long distance will officially be over in June! After years of adventures, long-distance weekends, and countless memories, we cannot wait to celebrate the next chapter together with all of you!
