Our Wedding Party

Alyssa Zvonarich

Bridesmaid

Hi everyone! My name is Alyssa and I am fortunate to be friends with both Lex and Ethan! I first briefly met Ethan and Lex in school but didn’t get to force them to be friends until we all started working together. Lex and I started our friendship based purely on our matched awkwardness and curved backs. Now I’m proud to say she’s become a very important part of my life. I convinced Ethan and Lex to start coming to see every new horror movie that came out with me - and I truly knew we were friends when they agreed to see Tim Robinson’s new movie too. I’m so grateful to have you two and can’t wait to see everyone and celebrate a couple that couldn’t be more perfect for each other!

Sean Gaiesky

Best Man

Ethan and I first met on the U of L men’s soccer team before becoming roommates at the infamous Double Deuce and then later at 85 Oxford. We’ve spent countless nights with a whiskey in hand playing cribbage or battling at Super Mario Strikers on the GameCube

Rachelle Martell

Bridesmaid

From the moment I met Lex and Ethan I knew they were a better match than Daniel LaRusso and Mr. Miyagi. It has been such an honour to witness their partnership, and be a friend to each of them. Lex has been a bright star in my life for the last 3 years. With her propensity for all things silly and goofy and her absolute obsession with the Karate Kid, Lex has filled every minute of our friendship with fun. I have never met someone more compassionate, charming and bright. She truly embodies Mr. Miyagi’s teachings. I am beyond excited to participate in and celebrate the start of the next chapter of Lex and Ethan’s lives. Whether that be perfecting their crane stances or performing their best wax on/wax off. Cheers to Lex and Ethan! And always remember, “Man who catch fly with chopstick, accomplish anything”

Riley Flint

Groomsman

I’m Riley — I’ve known Ethan for about 11 years now. We met through UofL soccer, boxed together for a while, and eventually roommates for a short time (which was definitely a time to remember) We’ve had a ton of good times over the years — Wacky Wednesdays during school, road trips and tournaments, camping, tattoo conventions, and many other memories that should probably be kept quiet! I’m so excited for Ethan and Lex — Wishing you a lifetime full of happiness, laughs, and memories that are just as fun (and maybe a little more responsible) than the ones we’ve already made. Cheers!

Dasha Korotkova

Bridesmaid

I met Alexis on one of my very first days of university. We lived in the same dorm, and in classic Alexis fashion, she decided that the introverted girl down the hall (me) needed adopting — and she was right. Since then, we’ve shared so many moments: we’ve pulled all-nighters at the library and at the club (academically questionable, socially iconic); spent multiple Christmases together, a Valentine’s Day, and Halloweens in costumes as tiny as our ability to avoid getting sidetracked mid-conversation. Even though we live far apart now, being around Alexis always feels like home. She’s one of my life’s constants and being her bridesmaid feels like the best part of this adventure (so far). And while I haven’t known the groom for as long, I know a great match when I see one.

Jesse MacIntyre

Groomsman

I first met Ethan in a lab during our first week at Michener. My favourite memory with Ethan and Lex is hanging out at their first apartment on Poplar St, watching tiny desk concerts til all hours.

Meagan Carty

Bridesmaid

Hi! Hey! Hello! I’m Meagan, and I have the absolute joy of being one of Lex’s bridesmaids! We started off as coworkers, but somewhere between long clinic shifts, all you can eat sushi dinners, Tawa Grill cravings, and cocktail nights that turned into chaotic mixology experiments (I promise to never put so many egg whites in your drinks again), they became two of my favorite humans. Lex is like the little sister I never had - sweet, caring, hilarious, occasionally a bit chaotic, and always ready to split a roll of sushi (or ten). I’ve loved watching her and Ethan grow together, and I can’t wait to celebrate them on their big day - with happy tears, lots of laughs, and quite possibly some regrettable dance moves that should never see the light of day (but probably will anyway).

Audulio Arriaga

Groomsman

Hi everyone, my name is Audulio Arriaga, one of my favourite memories with Ethan is meeting up during lunchtime after class to grab chicken shawarmas—or a classic "taco in a bag"—and just enjoying some laughs while being ourselves. And of course, I can’t forget the late-night study breaks that conveniently turned into ice cream runs to Marble Slab… which, more often than not, ended with us having one too many pints. I’m truly grateful I got to meet Ethan through school and soccer. He’s one of the most genuine people I know—caring, intelligent, and surprisingly athletic. It’s an honour to stand by you today, Ethan. I’m so excited to celebrate this amazing new chapter with you and Lex. Here's to a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and maybe just a few more ice cream runs.

Marlee McKinnon

MC

Hi Everyone! My name is Marlee and I have the great honour of being your Master of Ceremonies for Lex and Ethan's wedding reception. Lex and Ethan were some of the first friends I made when I moved to Halifax. It has been such a privilege to get to watch their love story unfold over the past few years through many cocktail nights and double dates. I am both an elementary school teacher and a certified yapper, which I believe has prepared me well for the public speaking and crowd control that the job of MC requires. Looking forward to seeing you all on the dance floor!

Bruno Benedetto

Groomsman

Ethan and I first met back in Nelson when we both played soccer for our highschool team. But our friendship really started growing when we started playing video games together, and after 12 long years we still do the same any chance we get. I'm so glad that we met all those years ago and we kept talking all this time and I know that if I ever need someone I can always count on him no matter what.
