We met through one of Lauren's coworkers and Ethan's roommate at the time. He mentioned to Ethan that Lauren wanted to get involved in rock climbing more, so Ethan reached out to Lauren and we began our relationship at the climbing gym. After a few climbing sessions (which were mostly talking and little climbing), Ethan mentioned that he had been getting into trail running lately. Little did he know what he actually got himself into when Lauren excitedly invited him on a trail run and he gladly accepted. He started to piece together how serious of a runner Lauren was when her version of an "easy after work run" was 6 miles on technical terrain. After struggling to keep up with Lauren and trying not to trip down the trail “Box O’ Rocks," our relationship began to blossom. We ended up officially dating in the summer of 2018. We now enjoy pushing our limits on longer and longer trail runs (Ethan still can't keep up with Lauren) and we enjoy training to climb more technical climbing routes. We are so happy that we got to start our relationship off with many different adventures and are so excited to get married and start a new adventure together.
