Question

Answer

No. No alcohol will be served, and there is also no "BYOB." If there is anyone that comes with alcohol it will be disposed of, and if anyone comes intoxicated, they will be escorted off the premises. Please respect our decision.

Question

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

There will be a designated area for smoking. There will be no smoking in the reception area, or during the ceremony. Vapes and e-cigarettes included.

Question

Answer

Yes, there will be four fully functional bathrooms located at the back of the cottage.

Question

Is it handicapped friendly/accessible?

Answer

There will be a golf-cart with a driver to help carry those who need help getting from the reception area to the ceremony, or to the bathrooms. There are special tables that are raised in case a wheelchair needs to go underneath it. But, the ceremony is outside and in an area that will be difficult for wheelchairs to get to.

Question

Will the Reception/Ceremony be held outside?

Answer

The ceremony is outside, the reception will be inside.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

It's Texas, the weather is very unpredictable. Be prepared for cool weather, but make sure that your outfit will allow you to be comfortable in the warmth of the setting sun, in case the weather is 70 degrees or higher.

Question

Can we throw confetti/rice?

Answer

No. Confetti will be provided, it will be made out of shredded leaves that are biodegradable. No confetti is allowed, no artificial flower petals, or balloons. We don't want to pollute our venue. We also don't want to harm any of the wildlife in the area by throwing rice.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The color schemes are shades of purple or green. Please dress in semi-formal or business-casual attire, and out of the respect of our guests, please try not to dress in clothes that are overly revealing. There will be children present.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a small break while the bride and groom step away to have a photoshoot with the photographer. In this time the guests can move to the reception area and begin to associate while the food is being prepared to be laid out.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

As long as the child is old enough to sit quietly and not cause a disruption during the ceremony.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Absolutely not. We have paid for a professional photographer, and they are happy to share our photos with you. Please do not ruin those by having your own camera or cellphone out. Thank you.

Question

Where is the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held on the same property. The Ceremony will be out in a separate area, in the open. The reception will be held in a refurbished barn, with plenty of tables and chairs, and a patio to sit in. The doors will be open for guests to come in and out of.

Question

What should I do if I can't attend?

Answer

Please let us know as soon as possible! You will be sorely missed, but we will have to plan accordingly. Please mark "no" on your RSVP and send it back as soon as possible. Thank you for your love and support.

Question

Where should I park/ Is parking free?

Answer

Parking is free and provided, and there will be parking attendants to guide you to a good parking space. There will also be signs to direct you down the driveway and around the reception area.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list because of our budget. If you have a guest or plus one that you want to bring with you, make sure that that is cleared by the bride and maids-of-honor to make sure that your date is on the guest list. If they are not, please respect the bride and groom's budget and do not bring them.
