Proposal

April 20, 2022

On Sunday, April 17, 2022, I (Katlynn) thought I was meeting Ethan in NY for just another trip together. Wednesday, the 20th, Ethan told me he wanted to take me to a nice dinner that he already made reservations for. I probably asked him 10 times where we were going and he never gave in. Riding with Kendell and Jason, we arrived to Central Park and they told Ethan and I to go get checked into our reservation while they found parking. After a long journey in my high heels in Central Park, we came to a beautiful picnic set up that was taped off with caution tape. I looked over at Ethan and said “Look how cute!” he says “Let's go look at it!” My heart instantly started pounding. We cross over and Ethan drops to one knee and asks the question “Will you marry me?” Of course I started crying and immediately said yes. While he was hugging me, I look to my left and my brother, mom and Ian came walking around the corner. He caught me by surprise yet again. I had no idea they were even in New York. After we took some pictures with the whole family, we really did have dinner reservations at Tavern on the Green in Central Park. We had a wonderful dinner, then ended the night at a rooftop bar overlooking NYC.

Future

Forever

Moving forward, we are excited to continue in full time service together. Due to reapplying to Bethel, we are unsure of many of the specifics, but regardless of whether we are accepted to Bethel, we will be staying in the NY area. Because of this uncertainty, we have decided to keep our registry small. We are looking forward to y’all joining us for this event and many more memories to come.
