Question

When and where is the celebration being held?

Answer

Join us on Thursday, June 1st, 2023! The wedding will be hosted at Gather Estate, located at 2600 E Southern Ave, Mesa, AZ 85204.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please help us prepare for this celebration by completing an Initial RSVP by December 31st, 2022 and a Final RSVP by May 15th, 2023. If you change your mind about your attendance after your Initial RSVP, please wait to send your Final RSVP until you have received a formal invitation. In either circumstance, if you are no longer able to attend, please still fill out the RSVP by kindly declining our invitation.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

You may notice on the Schedule page other events listed besides the Wedding Ceremony and Reception. You will receive a digital invitation if we request your presence, as we are not able to invite all guests to our more private events.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, please wear Semi-Formal attire! Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Parents and Grandparents please wear black and gold; Guests please wear beiges, peaches, light pink, tans, or brown colors (reference Color Palette included with invitation, or at the top of the Gallery page). Please DO NOT WEAR WHITE for the majority of your outfit, not even white dress shirts for the men (white shoes, a little bit of white on a shirt if patterned, etc is acceptable), as that is reserved for the bride and groom. Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to our wish for an intimate wedding and the limited amount of space at the venue, we kindly ask that you only bring who is addressed on the invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids, but thought you might like a night off. We appreciate your efforts to help us make our special day adults only!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests outside of parents, grandparents, and siblings of the bride and groom may begin arriving to the venue at 4:30pm MST. If you are not seated by 4:55pm MST, you will be asked to wait to enter the venue until after the ceremony is over at approximately 5:45pm MST.

Is there transportation to and from the housing accommodations to the wedding venue?

Answer

Arizona guests are expected to provide their own transportation, and out of town guests may carpool with them upon asking them, rent a car, or schedule an Uber/Rideshare/Lyft/etc.

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, there are 77 complimentary on-site parking spots available! Please note that alcohol will be provided at the venue. That being said, in the event you are not able to safely operate your vehicle by the end of the night, cars may be left overnight until 9am MST the following morning. If not removed by then, they will be towed and the bride and groom will be charged a $200 security deposit that you will then be billed for.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Although we understand your excitement, we are paying professionals to capture the special moments that we are more than happy to share with you when we receive the photos and videos back. We are having an unplugged ceremony, so we ask that all cell phones and cameras are put away during the ceremony until otherwise indicated by our officiant. Once the reception begins, guests may take out their phones to take as many pictures as they would like! We would love to see your favorite memories from our wedding in the days after the celebration while we wait for our professional photos and video, so please email us all the photos you take to straitwedding6123@gmail.com at the end of the night — especially the silly ones!

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

Yes! We want everyone to enjoy their night, and we thought you might need a little something to help you relax. All we ask is that you would help us help you by tipping our wonderful bartender at the event. You might be IDd if you look 21 or younger, don’t forget to bring it just in case! Please note that alcohol will be provided at the venue, and may NOT be brought in by guests or taken off the property. That being said, if you break this rule the bride and groom will be charged a $200 security deposit that you will then be billed for. Additionally, please adhere to your limits. The venue has the right to remove you from the property for disorderly conduct, also resulting in the bride and groom being charged the same $200 security deposit that you will then be billed for.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Both the bride and groom have food allergies as well, and completely understand! Please let us know when you submit your Initial RSVP where indicated, and we will work with our lovely caterer to accommodate you.

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

Answer

The venue strictly prohibits smoking or vaping inside the property. The bride and multiple guests have asthma that may be triggered by either, so we ask that you wait until after the ceremony to smoke or vape. This will only be allowed in the parking lot on the property. Thank you for being considerate!

Are there any Covid-19 Restrictions?

Answer

We are NOT requiring that guests wear face masks or be vaccinated. Please do whatever makes you feel the most comfortable! We love you, but we don't love your cooties! On the day of the wedding, if you wake up feeling sick, we ask you to please be respectful of the bride and groom and other guests and stay at home (unless you can confirm by a medical professional that it is not contagious).
