We met on a quail research trip through our student chapter of The Wildlife Society. We were friends for a while, and both enjoyed wildlife photography, so we would go on hikes looking for critters. We went on our first official date on April 1, 2022.

Ethan worked with Isabel’s family and friends to surprise her with the perfect proposal. He got her mom to get her hair and nails done in preparation for “Easter”, and told her he wanted her to see the azalea gardens while they were in full bloom. While down there, they happened to run into a friend that did wildlife photography, and caught up while finding the perfect spot to ask the question. Afterwards they celebrated with both families.
