Hayli caught Ethan's eye while she was playing in a high school soccer game. With a strong interest in her, Ethan reached out and the two quickly became friends. Ethan messaged Hayli asking her to be his date to the upcoming school dance. However, Hayli turned Ethan down as his dance proposal wasn't enough of a surprise for her. Hayli then surprised him and asked him to the dance. That dance marked the day they started dating, which was October 17th, 2015.

After 6 years of dating, Ethan FINALLY proposed to Hayli.
