Black. We have a classy color theme planned and here's how you can be a part of it: HOW FANCY TO DRESS: Dress anywhere from business casual to semi-formal. This means wearing dress shoes, flats, or heels, instead of tennis shoes or flip-flops (We are looking at you--crocs lovers! Leave 'em at home!) It also means ditching the ripped jeans, tank tops, and t-shirts for some button-ups, dress pants, dresses/pantsuits, or a nice blouse. EXAMPLES: Gentlemen: If you want to stay on the more casual side, you would be comfortable in a button-up, dress pants, and some dress shoes. If you are feeling more sophisticated or would like to spruce up your style, go ahead and wear a tie or a suit with that! Either way--you will look quite dapper. Ladies: If you want to dress a bit more casually, grab that nice black blouse, flats, and some dress pants--or a pantsuit! Or a skirt! So many options for you lovely ladies. If you are feeling like you want to spruce up your style, you can get a bit fancier by wearing a dress or some heels. Either way--you will look absolutely stunning! HOW MUCH BLACK ARE WE TALKING ABOUT HERE? Great question! As much as you can! If you have a black outfit fully equipped with black shoes and accessories, we will love you for it! You will look so crazy cool. But what if you don't have EVERYTHING in all black? What if you only have a brown belt? What if your heels or dress shoes are brown? Our answer: It will be okay! Just do your best :) If your black dress has tiny little white polka dots on it--just wear the dress! If your black button-up has gray fish or tiny red mickey mouse heads patterned on it and you just have to wear it--that's fine! We just want the vast majority of your outfit to be black. So avoid giant white polka dots or a gray fish/red mickey that takes up the entire half of your shirt. And as always, the wedding party are all there for you if you have any questions.
Wearing all black may seem a bit odd for a wedding if you've never heard of a wedding dress code before, but rest assured you and your outfit will look just dandy on the day of! The venue, our decor, and our theme all have a very specific color scheme. Since we want to remember our day as best we can, we want lots of pictures of our lovely guests! By following the theme of our dress code, everyone will look posh and picture-perfect altogether. It will really make a difference in our photos, and it's honestly just really fun to have everyone dress up together--reminding us all what a fun celebration our union in Christ really is! So, in other words, please do not wear purple or something silly! (You will stick out like a sore thumb, my friend.) There are so many ways to express yourself within a dress code, so don't feel blue!
The venue is Fete of Wales, and the address is here: 500 E Summit Ave, Wales, WI 53183 The ceremony and reception will both be at Fete, so there will be no need to travel between the ceremony and reception. :)
Arrive 35-15 minutes before the ceremony starts at 4. We would love our guests to have time to take in our beautiful venue and chat with friends before it's time to be seated. Please do not arrive right at 4--that is when the ceremony will start!!!
While we love your little ones, our wedding venue has a limited capacity. Unless your children are listed on your RSVP by name, we kindly ask that they stay home. Only the wedding party's family and a few select individuals were given permission to invite their children. We appreciate you making arrangements, and encourage you to use this time to relax and & enjoy the evening!
We have already assigned guests plus ones. When you RSVP, if you have received permission to have a plus one from us, there will be an option to list the name of your plus one and add them to your party. If you did not receive a plus one, please do not bring a date to the wedding unless you get the bride or groom's permission beforehand. We have a delicious dinner prepared for everyone, and we want to make sure all of our guests get a plate!
