Green Frog Coffee Company
This is where Ethan asked me to go with him on our first date! (We somehow ended up at Starbucks instead.) It's a fun locally owned coffee shop that also has lunch options.
Modero Coffee Roasters
If you're a true coffee connoisseur, this is the place for you.
Chickasaw State Park
This is a beautiful state park around 40 minutes south of Jackson with a calm lake and lovely woods and trails. We have hiked and hammocked here a few times and it's become a special place for us. We've nearly been there during every season!
Tulum Fresh Mexican Grill
Some of the best Mexican food in town! This is a fun, laidback restaurant that Union students love because it's literally a short walk from campus (and inexpensive and delicious). We've been on several dates here and usually run into folks we know.
Gonzalez Pupuseria y Restaurante
This local business serves delicious Salvadorian food.
Sizzler Cuisine Of India
The best (and possibly only) Indian food in Jackson. Sizzler is a rare treat for us, but we went not long ago with friends and had a wonderful time. Chain restaurants are everywhere in Jackson, but if you get a chance to visit some locally owned ones, do!
