For East Coasters

For our East Coast folks, we recommend flying into San Diego International Airport. The hotel is a 20-30 minute drive from the airport. We also recommend moving to Los Angeles so you can be closer to us.

For West Coasters

For our friends and family closer to home, you have many options - planes, trains, and automobiles, if you will. The drive from Los Angeles to La Jolla is anywhere from 1.5-4 hours, depending on traffic. The best time to leave on Friday to dodge traffic is before noon. If you don't feel like sitting in traffic, we recommend taking the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner from Union Station to the Solana Beach Station, which is a 14 minute drive from the hotel.

Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa

We encourage you to consider joining us in staying at Estancia for as much of the weekend as you can. We will be there from Thursday-Monday. For guests looking for more affordable options in the area, there are plenty of choices, since we are so close to UCSD. Please let us know if you need help finding a hotel that works for you! We will not have shuttles to and from nearby hotels, but ride share services such as Uber and Lyft do service the area.
