Bride
Colleen is everyone's favorite person, including Ethan's. She is incredibly kind and supportive of all of her many friends and family. Colleen loves nature, and she loves plants. Everytime Ethan and Colleen go on a hike, she stops every 10-15 seconds to take a picture of a plant or bug. Unlike Ethan, Colleen is incredibly patient. Colleen has many passions and interests, including dance, art, crafts, hiking, movies, and napping. Colleen loves music and despite denying it, she has the most beautiful singing voice. Colleen Graduated from BYU-Idaho last year with a degree in Horticulture with an emphasis in Wedding and Event planning with exceptional grades. Ethan’s favorite thing about Colleen is her testimony and relationship with Jesus Christ.
Groom
To know Ethan is to love him. Ethan has a bright, joyful personality and is full of light and goodness. He never fails to cheer up those around him and bring a sort of silly energy to every place he's in. Ethan is 22 years old (he loves to point this out because I am older than he) and is studying Construction Management at BYU-Idaho, where he met Colleen before serving a two year ecclesiastical mission in Houston, Texas in the Spanish language. Originally from San Diego, Ethan preferred living in Idaho and Texas. Colleen loves the fact that Ethan loves to cook (Ethan wrote this but it is true). Ethan loves the great outdoors and considers the mountains and rivers to be his second home. Ethan loves to fish, camp, hike, mountain bike, backpack, and any other activity that provides an excuse to be outside. Ethan also loves music and learning to play the guitar with Colleen. Ethan has only one flaw and that consists of spending too much money on his soon-to-be wife. Colleen's favorite thing about Ethan is that he is literally perfect. (I may be biased). Joking aside, Ethan carries the light of Christ wherever he goes and is always looking for opportunities to be his hands. The very first day Ethan and I saw each other again after his mission, we were at a campus opening semester party and Ethan invited a lonely looking stranger to come sit with us at our table. That moment was definitely one of many that reaffirmed I wanted to marry this sweet man and spend my life with him.
Maid of Honor
Colleen's older sister! Christine is currently working at a bank and has some crazy stories even though she hasn't been there too long. She is living in Kiowa, CO, with her dog-child who never leaves her side (Addie), give him some pets if you see him at the event. She loves her pets and plants. Christine loves to be outdoors, she loves to go off-roading with various motorized toys, camping, hiking, etc. She has returned to college and is attending BYU-Pathways, studying Family and Human Services. She will hopefully be joining us Cutforth girls in the marriage scene sometime soon (cough cough, Garrett).
Best Man
Dallin is Ethan's older brother and likes to fish. Dallin spends as much time outdoors as possible and is the founder of "Trap Jigs", his own fishing lure company, servicing several unique jig designs that are all designed, marketed and hand-tied by Dallin. He studies finance at BYU-Idaho and excels in finding excuses to go fishing. When Ethan told Dallin that he was getting married in Colorado, Dallin said that was excellent news because it meant he could go explore a new fishing spot that he had been meaning to go to. Dallin also has more pictures of fish on his phone than he has of himself.
Maid of Honor
Colleen’s spunky younger sister. Cari is currently living in Castle Rock with her fiancé, Kaleb. She’s a recent graduate of Colorado Dental Assisting School and now works as a pediatric dental assistant at AdventHealth Castle Rock. Cari has a soft spot for animals, sharing her home with a snake, gecko, tortoise, and enjoying time with Kaleb’s family dogs. When the weather’s nice, you’ll find her out riding on her motorcycle. As a big Target enthusiast, she’s always up for a shopping spree as long as she has the day off.
Best Man
Jacob is Ethan's younger brother and without a doubt, the funniest person you will ever meet. He is going to BYU-Idaho in the fall and is a jack of all trades. If there's something that's broken, he can always fix it. He is also a tech wizard and can often be found designing video games or tinkering away in his woodshop. In their youth, Jacob and Ethan were known to be troublemakers and are locked in a years-long prank battle. Most recently, Ethan placed a six foot long Chick-Fil-A sign under Jacob's bedsheets.
Bridesmaid
Colleen's womb buddy. Colleen and Hayleigh have been besties essentially since birth, except for the one time Hayleigh pushed Colleen into a giant dollhouse on her birthday (not cool but all is forgiven). Hayleigh's family moved to Larkspur when she was young and Colleen's family followed years later which reunited them and grew their friendship. Hayleigh is only three months older than Colleen but always seems to be "ahead" of her in life. Hayleigh is currently working in the medical field and living in Houston, TX with her husband, Gabe.
Groomsman
No one has seen Blake and Batman in the same room and that is definitely just a coincidence don't think about it too much. Blake and Ethan met at BYU-Idaho and spent lots of time grilling at their apartment complex and were subsequently called "the grill guys" for the rest of the semester. Blake is studying mechanical engineering and just finished an internship with Polaris. Make sure to ask Blake about the mayonnaise incident if you see him. Blake and Ethan have matching Pit Vipers and before Colleen made Ethan shave his mustache, they had matching mustaches as well.
Bridesmaid
Another one of Colleen's womb buddies. Sarah and Colleen grew up in identical houses just three houses apart from each other and spent their early days playing games with the neighborhood kids and making funny videos. To their dismay, Colleen moved away at age 11 leaving them both distraught. Despite the distance, Sarah and Colleen have remained best friends since and still enjoy their time spent together. The only thing that turned out quite different about the two is their height, we say something in the water after Colleen left allowed Sarah to grow to a whole 5 feet 11 inches tall, leaving Colleen behind at a measly 5 feet 4 inches. Sarah also loves fashion and has a great eye for it. She is currently working as the store manager at Joann's.
Groomsman
Colleen's little brother, Seth is a senior in high school and soon to graduate in May. He is an absolute hooligan and funny as can be, he is also pretty shy so many don't get to see this side of him. Seth is very intelligent and knows a lot of facts about random things if you ever need to have a conversation with someone. He is very hard-working and we're looking forward to see where he goes in life. He just got a new job and loves to hang out with his gorgeous girlfriend in his free time.
Bridesmaid
Ellie is Ethan's little sister and also the sassiest person you will ever meet. She is also the human incarnation of the energizer bunny, and she always has enough energy to take a few minutes out of her day to find a new way to annoy Ethan. Ethan and Ellie are known to have epic kung-fu fights in the living room. Unfortunately for Ethan, Ellie is known to win those kung-fu fights. Ellie loves to sing and perform in her choir and drama classes. She also plays the flute and the piano.
Groomsman
Colleen's little brother, Oakley is a sophomore in high school and also an absolute hooligan. Oakley loves gaming and will play Minecraft from the time he gets home from school until 3am if you let him. He will also yap your ear off about various different things he enjoys if you're looking to spark a conversation with him. He is a total momma's boy and an absolute sweetheart when he isn't completely enthralled in gaming. Oakley is still young at heart and hopes to never grow up and leave the house.
Bridesmaid
Hannah is one of Colleen's best friends from middle school. It was friendship at first drop. I say this because at the time, Colleen had a broken elbow and was attempting to climb one handed in gym class with Hannah as her belayer. Hannah ended up releasing the rope a bit too fast and Colleen dropped a bit too much. While both were terrified, nobody was hurt and it's still a funny memory to look back on. Hannah and Colleen share their big love of animals and all cute things. In highschool, it was promised that we would be one another's biggest supporters at our weddings and we soon get to see the first wedding happen. (C'mon Milo).
Father of the Bride
John is Colleen's father. He works at DXC Technology. He is a big fan of riding his motorcycle and electric scooter whenever it's nice. He also loves to play games, both video games and board games with his family. He lived in Bolivia for a couple years and has a lot of entertaining stories from there. He loves all our cats and they somehow consider him their best friend (betrayed by my own cat). He likes to be outdoors and is fascinated by life, much like his daughter Colleen.
Mother of the Bride
Brenda is Colleen's mother. She loves to read and watch movies. She especially loves her period piece movies, specifically those from Jane Austen. She enjoys gardening and loves to see her flowers bloom and vegetables grow. She does housecleaning for her clients and works in insurance. When she isn't busy working, she loves to spend time with her children.
Father of the Groom
Eldon is Ethan's father and he is a long time software engineer and consultant. He is known as a man of many skills, often described as a modern-day Bob Ross (but without the hair) Eldon is known for his oil painting skills. He enjoys long distance running and tandem bike rides with his wife Dawna. Eldon had an epic mullet in high school, rode a motorcycle and played in a band with his brothers, where he earned the nickname "Eddie" after Eddie Van Halen. Ethan will probably never be as cool as that and he's okay with that.
Mother of the Groom
Dawna is Ethan's mother and she loves the outdoors and the sunshine. She has a love for music and fulfilling her church callings. She loves old movies, ice cream malts and popcorn. Ethan and Dawna enjoy baking desserts that they later regret baking because they're too good. Dawna is very patient and has put up with Ethan's shenanigans for the past twenty two years. Colleen loves Dawna because she takes her side anytime Ethan decides to do something foolish and embarrassing, which is often.
Flower Girl
Lilliana is Colleen’s crazy little cousin. Colleen and Lilli lived together for three months in 2023 as Colleen did her internship at the Denver Zoo. Colleen and Lilli have been the best of friends essentially since Lilli was born. Lilli is a spunky little one and has no end of energy. Her favorite thing to do is play tag and run around until she fall over from exhaustion (which I haven’t ever actually seen happen yet).
Flower Girl
Aloy and Yara are Colleen's nieces! These two are absolutely adorable (I promise I'm not biased). Yara is the youngest and still learning how to live as a human. Aloy is the older and is incredibly smart. She loves the Lion King and flowers. She also loves to be outside. She has a great sense of humor and there's a large chance she'll make you laugh if you can get her out of her shy shell.
Officiant
Darryl Hermann is Colleen's previous bishop. He might not know this, but he has made a great impact on Colleen's life, quickly becoming one of her most respected role models. Colleen's fondest memories with Darryl are when he took her young women's youth group caving and also getting to zipline at his house.
