Many people don’t know that Chicago has 27 beautiful public beaches along the shores of Lake Michigan, and July is the best month to visit. North Ave and Oak Street are the most popular, but 12th Street and Loyola are our two personal favorites. More information on all Chicago’s public beaches can be found at the link below.
If there is one museum in Chicago you shouldn't miss, we think it's this one. Our favorite section is the Impressionist exhibit, but you should also check out the modern and contemporary wing and the miniature rooms.
The Chicago Cultural Center is also free to enter and worth a visit for the photo-worthy Tiffany Dome and rotating art exhibits.
The zoo is beautiful in the summertime and always free to enter!
If you have any extra time, we recommend checking out the neighborhood of Andersonville. There are countless locally owned unique and adorable gift shops and restaurants along Clark Street. It's a little out of the way but totally worth it!
Our ceremony venue is located in downtown Oak Park, a suburb directly west of Chicago where several Frank Lloyd Wright historic homes are located. Below you will find a self-guided tour map of the neighborhood that will take you to all the highlights.
The Obama Presidential Center in Hyde Park opens June 2026. Tickets to the museum will become available May 6. The University of Chicago, Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, and Jackson Park are nearby and are also worth a visit while you’re in the area.
Faces of Fitness Festival is happening July 25-26. View the lineup and get tickets below.
