How We Met

Old Sparks Become New

We met in high school and despite there being some kind of connection between us nothing more than a friendship ever blossomed. From classes and concerts together to even visiting Ethan in tech school and trying to "tip cows" on the farm (which was not a success). We then just lost connection for a few years. After messaging him asking to get together and catch up, we finally made a time to get together and from, there despite Ethan saying that he wasn't looking for a relationship, that old spark could't be ignored and here we are now, getting married.

The Proposal

07.25.19

We planned a float trip. Little did I know it would turn out to be not only my first float trip, but the most memorable float trip ever. Ethan and I went down a day earlier than the others who joined us. We got the camp site set up and then decided to go explore and look at the beach area. The beach area was beautiful. There was a quiet corner where we decided we could sit and relax for a little. Ethan went back to the truck to get us a couple of chairs for us to sit in, but he planned more than just relaxing. While at the truck, he also got the ring that I knew absolutely nothing about. After sitting for a few minutes, Ethan asked me to stand with him and I, of course, was hesitant thinking that he was going to possibly push me in the river. To my surprise though, he started asking me if I was serious about marrying him. When i said "Yeah, why?" he dropped to one knee, pulled out the ring, and asked if I would marry him.
